Meghan Punschke (Meg) was born and raised in Colorado where she spent the bulk of her youth. She attended Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA and graduated in 2003 with a BA in Journalism and a minor in Graphic Communication- specializing in layout editorial. During that time, she began her career as a poet and simultaneously cultivated her art.

Punschke resides in New York City, and has an MFA in Poetry from The New School. She is the curator and host of Word of Mouth, which is a reading series dedicated to poets and fiction/ non-fiction writers. Previously the Managing Poetry Editor of MiPOesias, she is currently the Managing Editor for Oranges & Sardines.

She is also working on an epic poem, painting several acrylic on canvas works, designing cover art for several poetry publishers, and promoting her first collection of poetry, Stratification (BlazeVOX [books], 2008). Her poetry can be found in MiPO, No Tell Motel, Coconut, Sawbuck, OCHO and more.

Her poem "The Fine Art of Pedestal Construction," was nominated for the Pushcart Prize in 2007.
